Just outside Hermanus New Harbour, two humpback whales moved through the cold Atlantic swells in a rare and memorable encounter. One raised its powerful tail high above the water, while the pair surfaced side by side before disappearing once more into the deep blue—a brief glimpse of the wild ocean life that still thrives along the Overberg coast.
